What we collect
- Information you send us. When you use the quote or contact form, we receive your name, email address and message, and, if you provide them, your company, phone number and the service you are interested in.
- Live chat. If you start a chat, we receive the messages you write and any contact details you choose to share.
- Domain searches. The names you search are sent to public registry lookup services (RDAP) to check availability. We keep the result for a few minutes to answer repeat searches faster.
- Technical data. Like any web server, ours records IP addresses, browser type, pages requested and timestamps in its logs. To stop abuse of our forms, we keep a one-way hash of your IP address for up to ten minutes.
We do not use advertising or third-party analytics trackers on this website, and we do not sell personal information.
How we use it
- To answer your request and prepare quotes and proposals.
- To provide, bill and support the services you order from us.
- To keep this website and our systems secure, and to prevent spam and abuse.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Türkiye, we rely on your consent (forms and chat), on steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract, and on our legitimate interest in running a secure service.
Who we share it with
Only with the providers that help us run the service, such as our hosting, email and chat infrastructure, and only as far as they need it to do their work. Where a partner product (for example an SSL certificate or VPN subscription) has to be issued in your name, we pass the details that product requires to its vendor.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to answer them and for a reasonable period afterwards, unless they lead to a customer relationship. Customer records are kept for the duration of the relationship and as long as tax and accounting rules require. Server logs are rotated regularly.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@1vs.co and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
