What is Paperclip AI?
An open-source orchestration layer for AI agents. It does not run agents itself; it coordinates them through adapters and gives you goals, roles, budgets and task tracking in one dashboard.
Can I use Claude Code and Hermes in the same company?
Yes. Assign one adapter to some roles and another to the rest. Paperclip handles task routing, budgets and heartbeats across all of them at once.
How much server do I need?
The control plane on its own needs little. The adapters do the heavy work, so size CPU and RAM by how many agents run at the same time and which tools they use.
Are model costs included?
No. You connect your own AI provider accounts and pay them for usage. The server price stays the same however many runs you trigger.
Can I deploy Paperclip my own way?
Yes. With root access you can clone the GitHub repository for full code access, or run it with Docker for simpler updates and service isolation.
