What is Dokploy?
A self-hosted platform as a service. It runs on your server and gives you a dashboard to build, deploy and manage apps, databases and services with Docker.
Is Dokploy free?
The self-hosted edition is open source under the Apache 2.0 license, so you pay only for the server. Some future premium features may come under a separate source-available license.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Point your DNS records at the server and add the domain in Dokploy. Traefik then requests a Let's Encrypt certificate so the app serves HTTPS.
How does Dokploy compare to Coolify, CapRover or Dokku?
All of them turn a server into your own PaaS. Dokploy focuses on a modern dashboard, Git integrations and managing several servers from one place, while staying close to plain Docker and Compose.
Is it ready for production?
Yes, with the usual care: keep the OS and Docker updated, store secrets properly and send backups off the server. Prometheus and Grafana help you catch problems early.
